From the recording Quiet Pieces for Noisy Times
As I was writing this song, I started recording it right away in my home studio while the ideas and vibes were fresh. The studio is a big part of my set of writing tools for most of the songs I create. While the song was being formed, I brought in my longtime guitar playing pal, Jamie Philp, to contribute some guitar ideas. What Jamie played was special, using a combination of nylon string guitar (Godin) and el guitar (Fender Stratocaster). I played keyboards, nylon string guitar (Kent), and sang some incidental vocal bits. An alternate title (aka) for this song is "So Many Stars".
