This is another one of my favorite Wilfred N & the Grown Men tunes. It's from our 2003 two-cd album "Waiting For Luck To Come". I played guitar and organ on this one, and there's a rare bass guitar appearance by Gary Myers who was an early player in our band. There are two other alternate mixes of this song, I believe, each with a different treatment on the ending.

Lyrics

I Think About
by Wilfred Kozub

I think about the world I lived in when I was a tyke
And I think about the world I’ll live in when I leave this life
My memories are better than realities today
I separate them all from feelings when I feel this way

I can say I’ve been enlightened
I can say that I’ve been ashamed
There’s nothing left to make me frightened
And I’m ready to take the blame.

Some worry that the world is heading for no common good
I worry that the day will come of no convenience food
Just videos reminding everyone of what to say
I memorized my lines, now let me finally get away

Fields of coffee and tobacco
We all got away with crime
Things I’ve bought and every new fiasco
Make me wish I had known my own mind

I think about the world I lived in when I was a tyke
And I dream about the world I’ll live in when Ieave this life
My memories are better than the videos today
And I’ve rented every one, so let me finally get away
