From the recording Stop Go Romeo
"Stop Go Romeo" is the title track of the album. I have to say that I'm pretty fond of this one for its mood and dynamics. I especially like the second 'wild' instrumental section with synths and drums going nuts. That's Jamie Philp on the lead guitar in those sections. And I played the 'flutter' guitar before the final repeating refrain. Drums are a combination of me (keyboard drums) and Clint Frazier (REAL!). In this song, the character is evaluating his life and then 'something' happens in our time to bring us to the end of this life.
Lyrics
Stop Go Romeo
By Wilfred Kozub
It’s been a long, long time
And I never thought I’d get here
But here I am
Yeah, it’s been a , , , eternity of time
I’ve grown from a little boy
Into a man
Stop go Romeo
Stop go Romeo
Stop go
Stop go Romeo, Stop go Romeo
It was the best of times
Half the time
And the other half, well . . .
You can forget it
And there were many times
That I wish that I had just said . . .
Stop go Romeo
Stop go Romeo
Stop go Romeo
Stop go Romeo
Spring forward – fall back
That means you’re losin’ your nap
No panic? Holy crap –
Is that a ufo behind your back?
They don’t look like people that I know
Don’t look like anybody you know
They don’t care about love as we know it
Stop . . .
go
It’s been a long, long time
And I wish I could have a little bit back
For myself
And it’s been a lovely world
In a myriad of worlds
In a cluster
On the other side
And I have been surely thrilled
At the wonder of this ride
Stop go Romeo, Stop go Romeo
Stop go Romeo, Stop go Romeo
Stop go Romeo, Stop go Romeo
Stop go Romeo, Stop go Romeo
Stop go romeo stop go romeo
Stop go romeo
Stop go
stop go romeo stop go romeo
stop go romeo stop go romeo
stop go romeo
